1. John H. Johnson Founder/Owner of Ebony and Jet Magazine said this about Success... "If you can somehow think and dream of success in small steps, everytime you make a step, everytime you accomplish a small goal, it gives you confidence to go on from there" Reflect on your own experiences, how can you relate this quote to your own pursuit of success? Give examples of small steps you have made that have given you confidence to pursue a larger dream of success.

Well when I was younger I always wanted to be an actress and I have done little acting jobs which to me is my small step but this helps me because just like a regular job this allows me to build my resume and have more exsposure.
ReplyDelete1. I am doing my best as a Theatre major. I have been in plays since my tenth grade year in high school. "Dreamgirls" was my first time in a production on television. I got a little fame for that; then i just recently finished doing a play called "Ain't Misbehavin'" at the end of my senior year in high school. It was a blast and everyone loved it. And now i am taking a trip with the rest of the cast and crew to do the same play for the French festival in Paris next year. I am pretty excited, and it goes to show you that a small step can lead to bigger places. I never thought i would muster up enough courage to be in performance but acting and singing together is a winning combination for me. I hope to be the best at what i go into, whatever it may be( performer/entertainer).
ReplyDeleteI feel that this quote relates to me because as a child everytime I would get a good grade on an assignment, it just made me want to work harder to get better grades and i wouldn't give up. I believe this relates to my career as a psychology major because when my friends had problems they would always come to me and talk to me about it, and i use to wonder what made them feel the way they felt and how there emotions controlled there actions; so when a psychology class was available at my high school i took that class and i've been interested in it ever since. Small steps can help you see what you want to become in life.

1. A small step I have taken to improve my dream is starting my own web show, this is apart of my ministry that i will expand on. Another thing is I will try to get into a recording studio to make some Christian Rap songs, this will all be in an effort to launch my worldwide ministry.
ReplyDeleteEveryday I take a small step towards my dreams by attending my classes. My short term goals are to complete college and start my career in pharmacy. My classes are very essential to my goals. Another small step that I have taken is applying for different internships and summer programs. These programs will give me the experience that I need to acheive my short term goals.
