One stereotype that I really dislike is how people believe that black men with dreadlocks are all dangerous. This stereotype is mostly believe by white people. They will give you funny looks, hold there belongings tighter or even turn the other way when they see a black male with dreadlocks..

ReplyDelete1.In the Marie Claire magazine, they took a poll on how men view women. Many men view women as impractical, crazy simply because some women want to be employed. Many men believe womens place in society is to be the caretaker of the home. The orgin of this view derived from the hunting and gathering society. The men would hunt and gather food for the women to cook. The women would educate their children, nuture, etc. Women's mindset began to change over time because during World War II women had to take on men's jobs becuse the men were in the war. Rosie the Riveter gave women a new perspective of their job. Women can do a job better of equal to a man.
2. I am an African American and I am most proud of the strength of African Americans. Many African Americans are strong and realize their strength; while i am least proud of how some African American men complain about the things that can't gain due to them being African American. i believe these are weak excuses that are constantly brought about throughout our community.Complaining gets one nowhere but work provides one with the path to success.
