1. As of right now the only two questions I have are: How do I know who my advisor is? and When will I know what classes I need to register for in the spring? I learned that you should get in line early, have all your paperwork in order, and register for your classes first before they close.
ReplyDelete2.The current registration process is not organized and confusing. My new plan would be to have different divisions register at different times.

ReplyDelete1.) As far as my major is concerned, i am doing the best i can. I honestly don't consider Theatre a major. It's a job. I live in Cook, literally. Four hours everyday I am in the Cook building working on this upcoming play as the understudy for Miss Evers. An honest question was asked in rehearsal as my friend and I discussed the upcoming musical. THe theater department should make theater students and vocal music students take classes together. In other words, if there are gonna be musicals, why aren't theater majors taking vocal music classes and music classes taking theater? That's my question.
Three things about registration that I've learned: always keep important information with you; save the id process for last; register for classes as early as possible.
2.) The registration process is very unorganized. As organized as they tried to make it, it still was all over the place. I recommend the steps to registering be in chronological order. i aslol recommend that the computer system either be multiplied or get more than one computer so that IDs go b faster. that's my suggestion.

ReplyDelete1.At this point my questions that i have about my major would be:whats the average salary for my potential occupation and could i use it to venture off into other organizations doing this.Three things i have learned about the registration process is chaotic, mandatory immunizational records, and be there early if you dont want to wait all day.
2.My alternative would be to have more reps and administrators so that the process could be a lot faster. This would make the process a whole lot less stressful.
1. The only question that I have is how do I know if I have chosen the right major for my career path.
ReplyDelete2. An alternative to the current registration process is to let the students register by their last names and not all at once, let the registration process be held for a week.
1. I do not have any more questions regarding curriculum, advising process, or my major. Three things that I have learned about registration process are: it is draining, required, and a place to meet your new friends.
ReplyDelete2. I think registration should be broken up into floor levels for students that live on campus. Like 1st floor move in one day, 2nd floor the next day, and so forth.

ReplyDelete1. At this point in the semester, I dont have any questions about my major. Ive met with my advisor and she answered the questions that i had. One thing I have learn in the registration process is that it takes long so be prepare and do not procrastinate.
2. The registration would be alot faster if it was more organized. There should be more administration and volunteers assisting with the process.
what are amount of hours needed to make honor roll
ReplyDeleteit takes long
be prepared for alote question
patience is trully divinity
an alternate would be more staff and overall better preparaytions if youknow you got the biggiest class ever coming on campus you might wanna be prepared
ReplyDelete1) At this point my questions that i have about my major would be.....Whats the average salary for my potential occupation???
ReplyDelete2) The registration would be alot faster if it was more organized and had more workers

ReplyDelete1. At this point in the semester, what questions do you still have about your curriculum, major, or the advising process? List at least 3 new things you have learned about the registration process.
At this point in the semester I don’t have any questions about the curriculum nor the advising process. I currently don’t have a major. I dropped nursing. I didn’t like it too much. So now I’m in the process of talking to each department to see what it is that I’m really trying to do. It’s not hard; it’s just that Dillard University doesn’t have the major that was posted in the 2009 catalog or the computer.
Three new things that I’ve learned about the registration process that I didn’t know before is that registration is mandatory, chaotic, and that it takes all day.
2. Propose an alternative to the current registration process. Provide details of your new plan.
An alternative to the current registration process is to let the students register by their last names and not at once, let the registration process be held for about three days. Monday, we get all of our immunization records processed. That gives students that don’t have it together to get it together and in by the following two days. Wednesday, take id’s by your classification and grade. Friday, move in; by Friday the students who didn’t have their information in should have it in; OR however many days it takes to process whatever it is that needs to be processed. The list above is just an example of how things should to work.

ReplyDelete1. At this point in the semester, I only have a question about the advising process. I have yet to be assigned an advisor. During S.O.A.R Week, a student advised me into my classes and I would like to know who I might need to talk to about my classes.
2. An alternative to the current registration process would be to allow the students with the last names beginning with A-H to move in on one day, I-P on the next, Q-Z on the last day! This might make registration and move-in a bit smooth.

ReplyDelete1. I have no new questins. The new things I have learned about the registration porcess is register as soon as possible, make sure you know your course curriculum, and make sure you clear everything with business and finance as early as possible.
ReplyDelete2. The registration process needs to be a lot more organized. Students should be able to register and make class schedule on thier own. Only those who really want or need help should have to go to someone to make there schedule. All parts of registration should be ran for a weerk so that the lines won't be so long. People should be able to come on there own time.
1.) Well right now I'm pretty good with my major I dont have any questions as of now, but maybe later as i become a sophomore i will probably have some.
ReplyDelete2.) Arrive to Dillard early and on time for registrations because it will me packed. Once you are cleared to make sure you go straight to making your schedule out. And the last one be sure you are prepared to put the whole day towards dillard because if you don't come early you will be there all night.

ReplyDelete1) I learned that before anyone can add classes they have to see their advisors, i also learneed that you dont have to wait to come back to school early to register for classes. and the last thing that i learned is that you dont have to go by your cirriculum; its just a guide to let you know where you need to be. I didnt really have any questions about my major.
2)I would say, clear immunization and financial aid over the course of the summer, and make sure that everyone is cleared. When you arrive at the school you uinpack first and then immediately go to register for classes.
the only question i have is have i chosen the best major for me and will i follow throught with it.
ReplyDelete2) i say make sure u have everything cleard when you come and arrive to Dillard early and on time for registrations because it will me packed and u will be tired of waiting.
